Sunset Wave

29 × 29 cm,
A wave at sunset. That moment when the light descends into the water, when every crest becomes a glint of gold, when the sea begins to shine as if it were carrying the ending day.
Above, a luminous white sky, deeply textured, almost cloudlike. The matter carries that milky density of late-day skies. Nothing moves there, everything breathes.
Below, the sea. Deep blue, restless, run through with white foam and glints of gold dancing on its surface. Each golden touch is a wave receiving the last light of the sun. Each white streak is a breath of wind stirring it.
And then, at the very bottom, the blue finds its calm again. It becomes dense once more, uniform, almost solemn.
A work that holds both movement and stillness, the wave and the depth, the gold and the blue. Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. When the sun sets, the sea takes over.
