Red Velvet

73 × 92 cm,
Red velvet. Deep, ardent, almost tactile. The colour that is not content to be seen, it wants to be touched.
It occupies the canvas like an emotion that has taken its time to ripen. This is not the red of fire that catches, it is the red of desire that stays, of memory that persists, of passion that has settled.
At the surface, some blue bursts appear. Fragments of another dimension, as if a night were inviting itself into the fire, as if the dream came to lay its hand upon the body.
Gold leaf, discreet, barely glides. A thread of light, a memory that persists. It does not seek to shine. It watches over.
Red Velvet is a meditation. That of desire that takes its time, of passion that leaves its velvety imprint on our inner matter. To be contemplated in an intimate space, wherever one wishes to summon the richness of a colour that speaks without words.
Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint deep desire. To sculpt the velvety trace.
