Le Grand Bleu (Polyptyques)

The Big Blue. Homage to Luc Besson's film, to that sea one can no longer leave once one has looked at it.

A polyptych where blue reigns. Each panel unfolds a nuance, a depth, a temperament of the same blue. Cobalt, ultramarine, turquoise, navy blue. All the blues that the Mediterranean knows how to give, brought together in the same movement.

The gold leaf runs through the panels, discreetly, like a golden thread that would join them. A promise of light within the depths.

A work to be contemplated as one contemplates the sea. Without hurry. Letting it come.

Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint the depth. To sculpt the blue.
