It Sounds Like a Melody

80 × 100 cm
There are canvases that carry a music. This is one of them.
The sky is textured, alive, crossed by glints that seem to answer one another like notes. It is not a still light, it is a light that sings, that vibrates, that carries within it a discreet joy.
At the horizon, the gold sets down its melody. Long, generous, held. It draws the frontier between two worlds and makes them harmonise.
Below, the sea takes up the chorus. Its blues answer one another, its whites carry the breath, its crackled matter keeps the memory of the notes past.
A canvas one does not merely look at. One listens to it.
Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint the music. To sculpt the harmony.
