Golden Wedding

80x80 cm
Two golden circles inscribed in the matter. Two rings intertwined, held by time.
Golden Wedding celebrates what endures. Not the burning passion of the beginnings, but the alliance that has crossed the years, that has been through the layers, the fissures, the returns of light.
The matter carries the traces of that duration. The plaster has cracked, the gold has settled again, patiently. Each glint is a year, each fissure a shared story.
A work to be contemplated as one contemplates a long love. It has nothing to prove. It is there, simply, and this alone is enough.
Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint what endures. To sculpt the alliance.
