An Other Life

40 × 120 cm
An other life, made of the pieces of the one before.
This work is a vertical kintsugi. Irregular geometric fragments in neutral tones, grey, beige, taupe, form an elegant kaleidoscope. Each section is bordered by fine golden lines, bringing a precious and contrasting touch.
It is the very philosophy of kintsugi. What has been broken does not hide. What has been broken tells its story, with gold.
The subtle texture of the surface adds depth, inviting the viewer to explore the interactions between shapes and colours. The asymmetric structure guides the gaze along a fluid visual journey.
A captivating and contemporary piece, celebrating the idea that the break can become the most beautiful part of a story.
Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint the fragments. To sculpt the repair.
