All you need is love

A hidden heart rises through the layers.

Beneath the pinks, the emerald greens, the solar yellows, the tender blues and the gold, there was a heart. Painted in a previous life of the canvas, covered by successive springs, then forgotten.
The scraper did not search. It found.

What time places beneath other layers, it does not destroy. It stores. A forgotten heart, a buried joy, a spring we thought lost. Everything remains, beneath the surfaces that covered it.

We say we move forward in life. In truth, we stack. And when we scrape, what was deepest rises first.

Love does not sit on the surface. It comes from underneath.

Matter, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. Painting the buried. Sculpting the heart.
Title as a tribute to The Beatles.
