A magic Sunlight

80 × 80 cm
There is that second, every evening, when the light no longer settles, it catches fire. It does not descend gently, it sets everything ablaze. It is the magic moment of sunset, when the world tips into incandescence.
The sky extends, dense, warm. Deep terracotta above, burning orange in the middle, peach almost translucent just above the horizon. Each band of colour carries the memory of the day that refuses to leave.
At the horizon line, a vibrating clarity surfaces. Gold leaf mingles with ochres and reds, and everything begins to shine with that magic light which belongs only to the Mediterranean when it sets aflame.
Below, the land receives. Fire red, bordeaux, dark glints. The crackled matter carries the warmth of the sunset, it keeps its trace like a tactile memory.
It is no longer a landscape, it is an emotion taking form. A magic Sunlight is the metamorphosis of a softer work, A gentle Sunlight, become flamboyant. As if the same light had chosen, that evening, to give everything at once.
Matter, structural plaster, acrylic, gold leaf. Wabi-sabi. To paint the incandescence. To sculpt the magic of fire.
