Artistic approach
Brigitte Dravet's artistic approach is based on a subtle dialogue between light and matter, where each work is born from the tension between raw texture and metallic luster. Using metallic pigments and gold leaf, she sculpts the surface of her canvases to reveal changing reflections, alternately evoking the sea, the sky, and the infinite horizon. This juxtaposition creates contemplative spaces that invite the gaze to slow down and lose itself in the depth of the gesture.
Driven by a minimalist sensibility, Brigitte seeks the essential: reducing forms to better reveal the "breath" that animates nature in its truth. Inspired by the great Asian masters, she favors the harmony of neutral colors—gray, beige, white—enhanced with gold, in order to convey a serene and almost meditative emotion. Each work thus becomes a suspended moment, a point of light at the heart of the material.
Her commitment to upcycling art reflects an eco-responsible vision: she recovers and transforms everyday objects—mannequins, various materials—to give them a poetic second life. Through this process, Brigitte questions the notions of permanence and renewal, while advocating a deep respect for the environment. Her sculptures, modular and often removable, embody the beauty born of reinvention.
Finally, her background as a sophrologist and meditation practitioner imbues her work with a holistic dimension: creation becomes a path to inner serenity. Each canvas or sculpture is conceived as a window opening onto a space of calm and contemplation, where art, mindfulness, and well-being come together to offer the viewer a unique sensory and emotional experience.
